Itinerary - Sample of a trip
JUNE 20 – 24, 2010
June 20 (Day 01): Lake Creek Corrals to Cooney Creek on the North Fork of the Black River.
Our trip begins at the WTR Outfitters Ranch where we will meet everyone.  We will jump into the van going to the Lake Creek trail head where you will meet your horse.  After stirrups are adjusted and you are given a “horse talk” on the do’s on riding we will head up the trail along and beautiful North Fork of the Blackfoot River.  We will eat yummy lunch and have a nice break to explore or just relax.  Continuing up the North Fork we head higher towards the Continental Divide and the awesome Scapegoat Mountain, which this portion of the Bob Marshall Complex is named. We will arrive in camp after 4-5 hours of riding, no worries as we have breaks in the morning, at lunch and in the afternoon before we get to camp.  Once in camp you will get your tent, pick a spot and with help set it up and get settled for a wonderful 3 day stay.  Dinner will be around 6:30 served buffet style. A bright camp fire will draw us toward it and a “get acquainted” time is spent.  Time for bed after a busy day.

June 21 -23 (Day 2 – 4): This is your time to work out with Laura Bender, go on hikes, swim in the North Fork River, take day rides to the various peaks, listen as Jack tells about the Iditarod, he gives a wonderful talk about horses, fish, or just relax and be in tune with yourself and with nature.

June 24 (Day 5) Cooney Creek to the Lake Creek Corrals
Today we will pack up and head down the North Fork River and home after a quite time in the wilderness.  Jack will leave with you around 9:30 and the rest of the crew will pack the mules up with the camp and be on the trail shortly. There will be rest stops during the day, a visit to the North Fork Falls, and just a quite ride out the wilderness, arriving back at the corral around 3 PM.  You will be transported back to the Ranch and after you gather up your duffle head back to Missoula and home.
