Clothing
Suggestions:
1. Check the date of your hunt on the chart below for clothing
guideline. Bring plenty of clothing, extra okay.
2. Noise factors - nylon/Gortex type clothing makes too much noise.
Select softer, quieter clothing for slipping through the woods
quietly.
3. Pants - straight legs are better than ones you need to tuck
in
4. Layered look - think of multi layers - except in extremely
severe weather, several layers of wool outer clothing allows you
to regulate your body heat, better than 1-2 heavy layers like
a heavy mackinaw coat.
5. Boots - cleated airbob soles are better for walking on steep
slopes and in snow; straight edge soles superior to rounded edges
- helps stop slipping when climbing up sides of mountains.
6. Packing - Divide all gear between 2 bags, on the day before
your hunt you will get out any clothing and gear you will be carrying
in on horseback (rifle, camera).
